Microsoft Demos Multi-Touch
Jun 3rd 2008
We’ve all seen the Microsoft Surface, which has recently been released into the public, however it was considered to be a product that would be released on a commercial basis - rather than on an end-user basis.
However, that has all changed since Microsoft have shown a demo at this years Wall Street Journal’s D: All Things Digital conference of Multi-Touch. Multi-Touch basically brings the idea of Microsoft Surface, whereby you can use multiple fingers to perform tasks on the PC. A brilliant example of Multi-Touch is the ability to enlarge and rotate pictures using two fingers - at the same time.
For those who are interested, Microsoft have also released a Video for you to take a look at.

Multitouch - great, but it’s just Microsoft not being innovative again. They’ve taken multi-touch from Apple, taken tabbed browsing from open source browsers and put it in IE… what next? I’ll become a believer when they do something innovative.
