iPhone’s 17 year old unlocker trades for new car
Sep 11th 2007
George Hotz, the 17 year old teenager who was the first to unlock his Apple iPhone, traded his unlocked iPhone for a new car and 3 brand new iPhones.
According to NineMSN News, Hotz traded the the iPhone to a Kentucky-based mobile phone repair company, who also said that they “do not have any plans on the table right now to commercialise Mr Hotz’s discovery”. The three new iPhones that are also being given to Hotz will apparently be donated to the 3 guys who apparently assisted Hotz in his ventures to unlock the iPhone.
With approximately 4 new ways to hack the iPhone, Apple’s methods of restricting users to AT&T are finally over.
