Mobile Web - Is it ready to take off?

Oct 31st 2007

mobbrow The technology has been around for Mobile Internet since wireless routers were created, however is it really ready to take off?

According to Read/WriteWeb, “[In the US] there are 237 million wireless subscribers, but only 32 million accessed the Internet in September”. This shows that the mobile web revolution is still to be pronounced as a popular technology. However, with new products such as the iPod Touch and the iPhone being released, will the Mobile Web revolution finally take off?

There are a lot of people who are starting to realise that mobile websites equates to better mobile marketing and sms marketing. If there are a lot of people who are using the mobile web, there are a lot more people who will view this kind of marketing.

And, there are numerous sites who also develop these sites with you, so you don’t even have to know how to code these sites! One such example is GoLiveMobile.

So, what do you think? Do you believe Mobile Web is ready to take off? Leave your comments below. For more information visit our sponsor wap site

The impossible at last - Mac Leopard on your Windows PC!

Oct 31st 2007

ref_leopard_box So, the world was surprised when Mac released a product which allowed you to run Microsoft Windows on their Mac platform. However, it’s now possible to run Mac on a Windows PC!

According to the DailyApps.net website, a day after Leopard was released it has been possible to install Mac on a Windows machine. “its been only a day since the Mac OSX Leopard was released officially by Apple and the hackers have managed to create a patched DVD that everyone like you and me can use to install Leopard on PC’s without having to buy a Mac.”

The post includes step by step instructions which include burning a patched iso image to a DVD, using a usb drive for the patch then installing Mac. The problem however is that this hack will only work on Intel PCs with at least SSE (which means us AMD fans can’t run it just yet - not surprising).

I’d love to hear what you guys think of this new patch, and bear in mind that it’s still experimental and as such you could damage your PC (whilst I highly doubt it). For more information visit http://dailyapps.net/2007/10/hack-attack-install-leopard-on-your-pc-in-3-easy-steps/

PayPerPost.com - Blog for cash!

Oct 31st 2007

When you create a blog, the first consideration many make in regards to making money is usually through the form of advertising. You know the drill, you go to a blog and on the side you’ll see some text ads. They can be interesting, but when you really think about it, who clicks them? The answer.. not many!

Throughout my travels on the internet I came across a website called payperpost which allows you to earn money on your blog by doing what you’re doing already - blogging. With one blog post ranging from $5 onwards, you could be earning a lot more in money than you would with google ads or yahoo ads. The money is paid through PayPal, so you will need to make sure you have an account!

The only downside I have had whilst using this service so far is the time it took to have my blog actually approved. According to their staff, they had an increase of signups which delayed my blog from being approved. However, with staff responding to my questions within 24 hours, I’m not upset about the wait it took for my blog to be approved.

So, I’m going to trial the PayPerPost system on this blog, and hopefully you will be able to see some new products that you haven’t seen before! And, I’ll be able to review it. However, there is one question I know a lot of you will be asking. Does that mean I will be sneaking in reviews to earn money? The answer, no. The great thing about PayPerPost, is that it allows you to be honest to your visitors - in fact, it encourages it. On the right hand side of this site, you’ll see a Disclosure area. Have a read of that, and you’ll understand this blog has been and will always be an honest source of information.

ItsNotCheating.com.au Is Back!

Oct 14th 2007

b000hcty2601_sclzzzzzzz_v45065741_aa280_.thumbnail A while back Microsoft had a cunning idea, they’d give away copies of their latest Office 2007 Ultimate application for a measly $75 to students, and apparently a lot of people purchased it!

Microsoft have announced that they are running the offer once again, with a static image on the itsnotcheating.com.au website stating that “due to popular demand, this special student-only microsoft office ultimate 2007 offer is coming back.”

There’s also rumours that a CD will be available for purchase as well, but we’re not aware of the price at the moment. We’ll let you know tomorrow when it’s released.
