livehelpimages.png

Well you should know by now that I am very eager to get this site to its fullest potential and I’ll show you a few new items of the website!

  • New Live Help Online/Offline Images (see right); I got rid of those poxy generic ones and got some custom made ones
  • New Forum; I honestly didn’t like the old forum so I’ve now intergrated SMF into the site!
  • Live Help template changed; You’ll notice I not only edited the online/offline images but also the other images which are contained inside the live help system, check it out!
  • The site is now 20% wider!; Well I felt everything was being crammed in so I made the site 20% wider!
  • The right column is gone; As I felt with the crammed space I also removed the right column which has widened the site even more!
  • New UserBar Generator; Found in the tools area, you can get your own custom made userar generator!
  • Organised the menu; People have been telling me to organise the menu so I have! Check that out as well! If you have any suggestions please let me know.

So I hope you like these changes, please comment below with your ideas and I’ll see to them!

BeerGuide.com.au Competition

Jan 4th 2007

In a recent review of www.BeerGuide.com.au I explained my interest in the site that it was free to use and a super great idea, well now they’re having a competition.

Whilst I understand that this isn’t directly related to Technology and the MiCCAS.net website, I have decided to start a new category “Off-Topic” so that I can post this message to my faithful visitors.

The owner of BeerGuide.com.au, Nathan, has decided to begin the first of hopefully many competitions on the website. This competition involves members reviewing beers and submitting their thoughts to the website. This benefits not only the other many visitors around the world, but also yourself (gives you an excuse to take a trip to the local bottle shop.)

The prizes that Nathan has donated himself are Prize 1 - 24 Mixed World Beers delivered to your doorstep (Value ~ $95) … Prize 2 - 12 Mixed Australian Beers delivered to your doorstep (Value ~ $45) and will be delivered to your door if you’re located in Australia.
As stated on the website Non-Subscribed Members (that is free accounts) will be required to review a minimum of 15 Beers to be placed into the draw… Subscribed Members will only be required to review a minimum of 5 Beers. Subscribing really only supports the website and gives you no ads, but its also a benefit in this case where you aren’t required to review as many beers.

But before you being making bogus reviews, read the next quote which says Proof of purchase for 85% of the Beers you review, must be shown if you are selected as the winner which is a good thing as it will make sure that visitors get good quality reviews that are true.

So what are you waiting for, you’ve got until the end of February 2007 to win these fantastic prizes so get reviewing, but don’t forget to sign up!

Also note that this competition is obviously only open to those 18 years and older due to the fact the prize is alcohol.

VanishingPointGame.com New Key!

Jan 3rd 2007

This is an update to my last post titled “Free Ferrari Laptops courtesy of Microsoft

I bring to you a newly found key for the vanishingpointgame.com website!

A very strage video was posted to YouTube (see here) from a username of lokivanishes which gives you the key “formula”.

Entering the key into the website gives you this image:

Formula

which once cracked gives you this URL (www.vanishingpointgame.com/manifesto/). Once that page you get given the following text:

Builders build. Writers write. Dancers dance.

I disappear.

In a few weeks, I will vanish. In the meantime, my job is to find—and reward—some of the cleverest people on the planet. Every week I will leave you twelve puzzles, ranging from easy to…..well, not so easy. Solving them earns you the chance to win some unbelievable prizes.

Impress me. This has been but a small taste of what I have in store for you. The real challenge starts both online and off when the countdown hits zero and the game begins.

Remember, countdowns usually end with a launch, and this will be a lift-off like the world has never seen.

That speaks for itself, its only a few more days and we’ll find out exactly what this promotion is for and what else is coming!
